Course Knowledge:
The Mayfair Country Club property is part of a 20,000 acre tract of land which Mr. Joseph Finegan bought in 1849 for $40.00. The land was transferred to General Henry S. Sanford who retained ownership for three years. General Sanford sold the property to Mr. Charles Emery of Boston, Mass. in 1873.
