Kittens, Other Pets Saved From Burning Brevard County Home

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- Firefighters saved several pets from a burning home in Brevard County on Friday morning. The fire started at a duplex in Cape Canaveral.

Firefighters pulled out a total of seven pets from the structure. Those pets included one cat, three kittens, two dogs and a snake.

Rescue crews used special pet oxygen masks on several of the animals. One animal died, but the others were expected to be okay.

Investigators aren't sure how the fire started.
