Marion County Animal Shelter Re-Opens After Thorough Cleaning

MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- An animal shelter that was forced to euthanize more than 80 dogs in Marion County was back open Tuesday afternoon.Officials shut down the shelter last Thursday when they discovered an outbreak of canine influenza, distemper, parvo, pneumonia and kennel cough. Officials spent the last few days disinfecting the entire building.Sadly, several dogs had to be euthanized. The shelter reopened for business Tuesday morning.
