BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. -- Beware of the bees in Brevard County. Experts say a more aggressive type of bee, the Africanized honey bee, is slowly invading the county.

Africanized honey bees become aggressive more easily and stay aggressive for a longer period of time than regular bees. They also react to disturbances more than 50 feet from their nests.

County agents said they have been flooded with calls from people who have been attacked by the stinging bees and want to have their hives destroyed.
