Rehabilitated Horses Getting Adopted In Marion County

OCALA, Fla. -- The luck has changed for a group of Marion County horses. All the horses that were the subject of abuse and neglect are on the market for adoption.The 114 ponies, horses, miniature horses and donkeys were seized by Animal Services in May. They were found in poor living conditions, starving and mangy, but almost half of them were adopted Tuesday."I got this horse, because I just love him," said new horse owner Shelby O'Grady.The open adoptions will be held all week on 24th Street in Ocala. All residents need is $75 per animal and proof of residency and livestock zoning.
