Sea Turtle Nests On Volusia Beaches Reach Record Amount

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- On Wednesday, there were a record number of sea turtle nests on Volusia County beaches. Officials reported that there were more than 600 nests on the county beaches, which was the highest amount on record.Nesting season began at the end of May. The number of nests was expected to rise before the end of the season which is October 31.
