MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Trappers caught a female bobcat in one Melbourne neighborhood and they're hoping she will help them catch her mate. The female bobcat was caught Sunday near Turtle Mound Road. Neighbors called trappers when the large cats started going after their pets.It took four days, but one of the bobcats was finally caught and neighbors saw its mate circling the cage making loud noises."Somewhere a cross between a jungle lion and a screaming baby," described one eyewitness. The trapper is keeping the female in the cage, hoping the male will return.
