Tropical Depression Henri Advisory Number 9

Henri decays to a remnant low,

At 500 pm ast, 2100 utc, the center of the remnants of henri was located near latitude 20.4 north, longitude 62.2 west or about 165 miles, 260 km, north-northeast of the northern leeward islands.

The remnants of henri are moving toward the northwest near 12 mph, 19 km/hr, and a westward motion is expected until the low dissipates in a day or two.

Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph, 45 km/hr, with higher gusts. A slow decrease in strength is forecast until dissipation.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1012 mb, 29.88 inches.

The breezy conditions will stay with us and turn windier as Ida approaches the Panhandle of Florida. Gusts the next couple days will top 30 mph! A slightly better chance of rain Tuesday into Wednesday.

Today: Mostly cloudy with windy conditions! SE winds 15-25 mph. A 20% chance of a shower with Ida to the west. Highs around 82 degrees. Rough seas and dangerous beach conditions continue.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with an isolated shower. Still breezy. Ida will be close to making landfall in the Panhandle. Lows around 70 degrees.
