Florida Hospital Foundation's Celebrity Stroll: Wheels & Heels

Celebrity Benefit Event for Florida Hospital

Famous and Familiar Faces Hit the Runway for Florida Hospital's 10th Annual Celebrity Stroll: Wheels and Heels

WFTV 9 Family Connection and WFTV Eyewitness News Anchor Barbara West invite you to a fun-filled evening with this season's hottest fashions and the hottest cars on the market to benefit a special cause. This year's event, themed Wheels and Heels, marks the 10th Annual Florida Hospital Celebrity Stroll on April 5th at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Celebrity Stroll, Florida Hospital's second largest fundraiser, benefits Central Florida women and children with cancer.

The event also features live and silent auction, seated dinner, exotic cars, and the "Stroll", where famous and familiar faces strut down the runway in the latest fashions from Sultré and Jimmy Choo. Past celebrity appearances have included Shaquille O'Neal, Joey Fatone, Jennifer Capriati, Ken Griffey Jr., and a special appearance by Matt Damon.

Also at the event, a local cancer survivor is recognized with the Celebration of Life Award. This award is given to a woman who exemplifies courage, strength and faith while battling cancer. We are honored to present this year's recipient, Michele Smith, with the 2009 Celebration of Life Award.

Have fun and make a difference for Central Florida women and children with cancer! Last year's Celebrity Stroll raised more than $250,000 to benefit cancer programs at Florida Hospital. Florida Hospital Cancer Institute gives patients access to more comprehensive services, advanced technology and cutting edge research than any other program in the community.

Members of the community can contact Jon Nobles at 407/303-9637 for more information or to register for Celebrity Stroll.
