A station-wide community initiative, which empowers viewers, engages partners and assists service agencies
throughout Central Florida. Our commitment to news leadership is rivaled only by our commitment to community service.
In March 1998, WFTV launched WFTV 9 Family Connection, a station-wide community initiative which empowers
viewers, engages partners and assists service agencies throughout Central Florida.

Commitment
The heart of WFTV 9 Family Connection is identifying real issues and real solutions for Central Florida families,
specifically those centered on Education, Health, Safety and Quality of life. WFTV 9 Family Connection embraces
projects, events and programs that benefit the greater community and service those in need. WFTV 9 Family Connection
partners with strong organizations that share a similar sense of community and want to get involved to make a difference.
To date, WFTV 9 Family Connection has raised nearly $20 million for local charities.
