SOUTH DAYTONA, Fla. -- South Daytona Police spent the day, Sunday, looking for the man they said broke into a house on Aspen Drive and covered a sleeping girl's mouth after smoking crack cocaine on their front porch. The family's high tech security system caught the man on tape. He even looked directly into one of the cameras. Police said he then pulled up shirt and started using a crack pipe before breaking in.In a letter to police, the man admitted to smoking crack at the house before entering the girl's room and inserting a pornographic video into the DVD player and touching one of the girls. The twin girls who share the room the man entered both awoke and started screaming for their father. He said by the time he ran outside, the man was gone. Kevin Giordanao told Channel 9 his son installed the surveillance cameras about a year ago to target neighborhood vandals."The girls are terrified they don't want to sleep in their room. You can't blame them they're 11 year old girls," said Corporal Mark Cheatham of the Daytona Police Department.Detectives said they found the man's crack pipe in the girl's bedroom. The suspect said he had been drinking and smoking crack at a party just down the street.
