A 911 call has shed new light on an exorcism investigation in Volusia County.

The call was made the night Edgewater city councilwoman Debra Rogers and her husband, Daniel, were accused of battery while trying to perform an exorcism on one of their teenaged daughters. The call was placed by the teen's sister, who claims the girl attacked her family.

911 Operator: "I need you to calm down a little bit, so I can understand what you're saying. Has she hit anyone?"

Caller: "Yes. She's hit my dad in the eye and she's hit him in the side. She's been scratching me and everything. There's oil in my hair because she's been throwing oil around."

Rogers and her husband face charges of domestic battery and false imprisonment. The alleged victim is now staying at a safe house.
