ORANGE COUNTY -- The Florida Highway Patrol is welcoming a new batch of troopers whose services are desperately needed in Orange and Osceola counties.

After months of preparation, eleven recently sworn-in graduates will take what they learned in the classroom and use it when patrolling our roads. Five are assigned in Osceola County and six will work in Orange County.

FHP says they appreciate the added boost, but more troops are still needed. It costs them about $55,000 to put each candidate through school.
