Oz, who is passionate about health and wellness, is "The Chew's" fresh face of healthy living and resident practical tipster, sharing her personal insights, interests and helpful information.
In 2006 Oz wrote her national bestseller The Dorm Room Diet, sharing the healthy lifestyle plan she developed at school that helped her permanently shed 30 pounds. Published by Newmarket Press, The Dorm Room Diet is an accessible resource for college students who want to prioritize health in a practical way while still enjoying all that college has to offer. Oz and her book have been featured by many national media outlets, including "Good Morning America," The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Teen Vogue and People.
The daughter of Dr. Mehmet and Lisa Oz, Daphne Oz is an in-demand speaker on health and wellness issues facing young adults. As a regular contributor to Oprah.com, The Huffington Post and Glamour Magazine, she shares her thoughts on topics ranging from alternative medicine therapies to quarter-life crisis coping strategies.
Oz helped found HealthCorps, a non-profit organization that equips teenagers with educational information in the areas of nutrition, exercise and stress management, and for which she serves as an Ambassador. The organization currently operates within more than 40 schools nationwide.
Oz will celebrate her first wedding anniversary this month. She and her husband, John, reside in Manhattan.
