Los Angeles, CA -- (Sports Network) - Houston Astros pitcher Roger Clemens is one of six players reportedly linked to using performance-enhancing drugs according to an affidavit filed in federal court.According to the Los Angeles Times, the search warrant affidavit was filed in May and the documents were centered on the statements allegedly made to federal agents by former major league pitcher Jason Grimsley. Grimsley was suspended 50 games by Major League Baseball for violating the drug prevention and treatment program in June. Grimsley was then released by the Diamondbacks after admitting to using steroids, amphetamines and other drugs. At the time of admitting his drug use, Grimsley disclosed player identities that were originally blacked out in copies of the affidavit that was made available to the public in June. The Los Angeles Times released the names of Clemens and others on Saturday night as the players that Grimsley reportedly implicated. The other players that Grimsley named to federal agents are pitcher Andy Pettitte of the Astros and Baltimore teammates Miguel Tejada, Brian Roberts and Jay Gibbons. The affidavit also alleges that the retired David Segui was also named. Grimsley reportedly told investigators that Clemens "used athletic performance-enhancing drugs" and that Tejada used anabolic steroids.
