HOLLY HILL, Fla. -- A body was found wrapped in carpet and bound with duct tape in Holly Hill, but detectives didn't move it for nearly 20 hours after it was found.Detectives said hey were trying to process the scene before they finally moved the body Tuesday morning after it was found Monday behind an apartment complex on Brentwood Drive, between Ridgewood and Nova roads in Holly Hill.Detectives spent all night guarding the body that was found as the sun was going down Monday evening. Because of the lack of light, there wasn't much they could do with it in the wooded area, so they secured the scene and, at first light, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement came in to start their investigation. The body was found by a resident Monday night. It was wrapped in a rug and the rug was duct-taped at both ends. The body inside was badly decomposed, so much so that they still do not know the sex, age or race of the body or how long the body has been laying there. The body was found in the relative same area as two of the three victims of the suspected Daytona Beach serial killer. Police were looking fro any similarities to those crimes."Certainly we can't rule anything out at this point. Certainly we're hoping that it's not. Until further examination of the body, determine cause of death, we can't speculate, certainly, but we're ruling nothing out," said Commander Mark Barker, Holly Hill Police Department.Investigators were removing the body so it could be more closely examined to determine who the person is and how they died.
