Officer Charged With Lying In Case Involving State Attorney's Daughter

Posted: 4:04 pm EST December 19, 2006

A Flagler Beach police officer was arrested for lying about the case involving the daughter of State Attorney John Tanner.

Investigators said Officer Nathaniel Juratovac falsified records about Lisa Tanner. She was arrested last year on misdemeanor charges, which were later dropped.

John Tanner said videotape recorded at the jail proves his daughter was beaten in jail and he tried to prosecute all officers involved. Two guards were indicted.

Tanner is now under investigation, himself, for alleged abuse of power.
