Posted: 5:12 pm EST December 25, 2006Updated: 5:08 pm EST December 26, 2006

Emergency shelters are open in Volusia County following Monday's F2 tornado.

Daytona City Church is open as an emergency shelter, operating under the American Red Cross Tuesday and Wednesday.

The church is at 211 Bay Street.

Officials say people who plan to use the shelter need to bring their own bedding and basic necessities.

That includes special dietary food, snacks and comfort food and any medication or medical supplies.

People should also bring extra clothing, oxygen supplies, toiletry items, diapers and any items needed for infants or elderly of disabled evacuees.
