Investigators: Dog Kennel Employee Stole Credit Card Numbers

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. -- Brevard County investigators say a woman used the dog kennel where she worked to steal credit card numbers from customers.RJ McCaslin boarded his Australian Shepherd mix at Barkingham Palace on US-1 in Rockledge.McCaslin later noticed a strange purchase on his Bank of America card: $245 to Fashion Punk Incorporated, a clothing store in Brooklyn, New York."I've never been up there," McCaslin told Channel 9 Eyewitness News.A short time later, there was another charge: $1,935.55 to BestBuy.com. McCaslin called his bank, then called authorities.An investigation that lasted more than two months ended with the arrest of Melanie Jackson, 19. Investigators said the Barkingham Palace employee stole credit card numbers from McCaslin and at least one other customer."There was a lot of frustration," said McCaslin. "Who was this person trying to take my money; I mean, I'm not working to support me and them both!"McCaslin did get his money back.Jackson was charged with credit card fraud.
