ORLANDO, Fla. -- An 11-year-old Orlando boy was attacked by a dog, Wednesday night, at an Orlando apartment complex. Animal control officers said Sahdarran Franklin was playing with friends when the pit bull started chasing them in the parking lot of the Tuscany Ridge Apartments off of Holden Avenue. The boy ran and jumped into an SUV, but the dog jumped in through an open rear window. The dog, named Fatal, apparently wanted the boy's fried chicken, but instead bit him several times on the legs.Franklin was taken to the hospital with bandages wrapped around his right calf and cuts in his left thigh. The dog was taken to the pound, even though the owner claimed that wasn't necessary."He's a good dog, you know what I mean?" the owner protested at the scene.Animal control officers will decide what happens to the dog next. The boy's mother, Irene Franklin, said she hoped her son wouldn't have permanent scars and she wants the harshest punishment for Fatal."I hope they kill him and I'm pressing charges to the fullest," she said.
