ORLANDO, Fla. -- Some downtown Orlando condo owners say they were sold a money pit, but they're fighting back. Owners at the Metropolitan on Washington Street gave Eyewitness News their list of expensive problems.Leaky roofs, a clubhouse that doesn't have a thermostat, a faulty fire sprinkler system and major pool problems are just some of the complaints. The owners said they had no idea they were buying a fixer-upper."Hopefully we'll get reimbursed. We're just trying to get this done," said Kieran Fitzpatrick, a condo owner. The developer said he followed engineer guidelines while converting the Metropolitan into condos and the damages sought are comparable to more highly priced projects.
