CINCINNATI, Ohio -- An elderly woman is hospitalized after being attacked and robbed in broad daylight, and police said the teenage robbers were caught on video.

Annette Liebing, 83, was shopping with a friend in College Hill, Ohio, on Monday, when two teens attacked her and snatched her purse. Police said security cameras caught the teens hanging out behind Bacall's Cafe just before the attack.

"Of course, that time of day, had I known, I would have thought something of it, because they were obviously school-age, and they should have been in school," said Diane Pugh, manager of Bacall's.

The video showed Liebing and her friend walking across a lot, headed toward a well-traveled alley next to Bacall's and then the teens followed moments later.

"Those two young men came up behind them and grabbed the one's purse. It didn't come off her arm right away. They pulled it again, and that's what took her to the ground with her friend, who I believe fell on top of her," said Pugh.

Residents of the Llanfair Retirement Community, where Liebing lives, are angered by the attack but said they are determined not to be scared off.

"We're going to stay strong, and we're going to survive," said Sheena Parton, a resident of Llanfair. "We're not going to let kids take over our neighborhoods."

Police are still searching for the two teens.
