PALM BAY, Fla. -- Palm Bay police said the man, who shot and killed his estranged wife and then committed suicide last week, followed her using a hidden GPS tracking device on her car.

Police said Carlos Acevedos was following his wife, Idelisa Morales, when she went to visit a new boyfriend on Salina Street in Palm Bay.

Authorities said Acevedos was spotted peaking into the boyfriend's windows and was reported by a neighbor about 15 minutes before he opened fire on his wife.

Morales tried to get a restraining order against her husband one month before her death.
