TAVARES, Fla. -- A two year old girl who was taken from a Lake County foster home last year has been found alive in Wisconsin.Courtney Alisa Clark was discovered in a house where an 11 year old boy was found malnourished and showing signs of torture and the body of a 35 year old woman was buried in the back yard.Three adults, including Courtney's mother Candice Clark, have been taken into custody.Police in Portage, Wisconsin credit the investigative work of Lake County Sheriff's detective Cpl. Jim Vachon with the lead that led them to the home on Thursday.Vachon has pursued the case since being asked for assistance by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office back in January.According the a Lake County Sheriff's report, Courtney was placed in a foster home in Sorrento last July by the Safe Child Coalition, which works with the Sheriff's Office in Pinellas on child abuse cases.Candice Clark allegedly went to the foster home in late September and told the foster mother that the court case which caused her to lose custody of her daughter had been dropped and she was there to take the child back. The foster mother informed the Safe Child Coalition the next week that the child was with the mother, and a Pinellas County judge ordered law enforcement officials to find the child and return her to protective custody.By that time it is believed that Candice Clark had hooked up with her boyfriend, Michael Sisk, and left the state.Courtney and the adults remained missing until they were found on Thursday.Police in Portage arrested the 23 year old Clark and 20 year old Michaela Clerc at the house after Vichon told them that Sisk might be living there. In addition to Courtney, there were three other children found in the house. After questioning the women, police returned to the house Friday and found the severely malnourished 11 year old boy and the body of the woman who they belived had been buried there around Memorial Day.Sisk had fled but was arrested Friday by Milwaukee police. The indetity of the dead woman has not been released.Sisk and Clark are chared with physical abuse of a child.Clark is also charged with interfering with custody.Charges are pending in the death of the woman. All of the children are in protective custody, and police in Wisconsin credit Vachon with saving the life of the 11 year old boy.
