Funeral Services Set For Victims Of Sanford Plane Crash

SANFORD, Fla. -- Friday, family and friends will mourn the death of the pilot and passenger in the Cessna that crashed into two Sanford homes Tuesday. According to NTSB findings, there were only a couple of minutes between the pilot's distress call and the deadly crash.

The National Transportation Safety Board has cleared the scene in Sanford. As the investigation continues indoors at Orlando-Sanford International Airport, family and friends of the two men inside the Cessna will say their final goodbyes Friday.A day after NTSB investigators wrapped up their work at the crash site in Sanford, family and friends prepare to remember the first victims of the tragic accident that killed five people.Pilot, Dr. Bruce Kennedy' funeral will be held Friday at 11:00am. Kennedy was a plastic surgeon married to Lisa France Kennedy, the president of the International Speedway Corporation.Services for Michael Klemm, a NASCAR pilot for 21-years, will be held at 5:00pm Friday.Both services will be held at Sea Breeze United Church in Daytona Beach.Meanwhile, the NTSB crews loaded the last few pieces of the Cessna 310 found at the crash site onto a truck and moved them away. They hope the wreckage will provide more insight into what caused the plane Kennedy was flying to go down Tuesday morning, shortly after radar contact was lost."It does not appear that the airplane was in a configuration that would be associated with landing an airplane. In other words, the landing gear appears to be retracted, as well as the flaps," said Robert Sumwalt of the NTSB.Friday morning, Channel Nine also learned funeral services for Janise Joseph Woodward and her six-month-old son are scheduled for Tuesday. They were killed when the plane crashed into their house.
