Melbourne Beach Man Arrested In Fatal Hit And Run

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- A man crossing Eau Gallie Blvd in Melbourne was killed late Friday night when he was struck by a car whose driver then fled the scene.Around 11:45pm, 48 year old Sean Trainor of Melbourne was crossing the road near the Green Turtle Restaurant when he was struck by a car traveling eastbound on Eau Gallie.Trainor was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.Police were able to put out a countywide description of the car involved, and a Melbourne Beach Police officer recogzined the car as one belonging to a Vincent C. Price.Melbourne Police went to Price's home in Melbourne Beach and examined his car.Using evidence collected from the scene and witness descriptions, police arrested Price on charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving injuries and failure to render aid.Police say that Eau Gallie Blvd. was closed to eastbound traffic for about three hours.
