Monday, August 13, 2007

Two people in Volusia County became the season's latest shark bite victims. Both bites happened in the most common spot for bites, near the Ponce Inlet Jetty in New Smyrna Beach.

Saturday night, a shark bit a 19-year-old surfer on his left foot. Sunday night, a shark bit a 15-year-old girl.

Both bites were minor.
