The Lake County Sheriff's Office used a helicopter, a cadaver-sniffing dog from Marion County and a metal detector Monday morning. They were searching for new information into the remains found by a couple along Austin-Merritt Road near County Road 48 on Sunday night.Sheriff's deputies said, when the couple looked inside the large garbage bag, they found the remains already decomposing. Investigators quickly said the remains were not a toddler, ruling out the possibility that they were the remains of 2-year-old Trenton Duckett, who was reported missing more than a year ago by his mother, Melinda Duckett, in Leesburg.Late Monday afternoon, the medical examiner said the female victim wore dentures and has likely been dead between two weeks and two months.Neighbors said they saw the bag sitting on the side of the road as early as last Monday afternoon. They said it had red clothing spilling out and many thought it was just trash, so they didn't stop to pick it up.Since the Lake County Sheriff's Office has no open investigations, they are working with law enforcement in nearby agencies that may have their own missing person's cases.
