Manager Says Downtown Orlando Comedy Club Forced To Close

Posted: 12:57 pm EDT October 3, 2007

The general manager of a downtown Orlando comedy club isn't laughing Wednesday. He says he was forced to close the club.

The general manager of The Improv told Eyewitness News their lease with Cameron Kuhn, the owner of Church Street Station, required that Kuhn renew the property's liquor license, but he didn't.

Since liquor provides the majority of their income, the club couldn't afford to stay open. The general manager said he's looking for a new location, but is still hoping for a resolution with Kuhn.

The business employees about 75 people.
