Ceviche, a restaurant under construction, posted two versions of the painting in its windows, one of a woman lying down with clothes on and the other without."For some people, it would be disrespectful but not everybody. Religious people would think it's disrespectful. I know it's just art, but everyone has their own opinion," said Orlando resident Agnes Ortiz."It's not demeaning. It's not demoralizing. I think it's done in a respectful way," said local resident Adrian Ellis."I think it's a little too graphic. It shouldn't be up there," another person said. The city of Orlando told Eyewitness News there is a fine line about what type of art can be displayed publicly and some images require a permit. Ceviche's owner, Antonio Escobar, said he does not have a permit because there's nothing wrong with the painting."They never seen a naked woman in America before? Naked women have been around for a long tim," Escobar told Eyewitness News.City code enforcers came out Wednesday morning to look at the painting. They said, since it is a famous piece of artwork by a famous painter, they're allowing it to stay where it is.
