Builder: If You Want Proof There Are No Bombs, I'll Dig Up Your Lawn

Friday, October 12, 2007 – updated: 8:00 am EDT October 12, 2007

People who live near Odyssey Middle School met with the builder who told them he would dig up their yards to prove there were no bombs buried in the soil below.

The Army Corps of Engineers blew up three more bombs, Thursday, found on an old military bombing range near Odyssey Middle School. Students were let out of school just before engineers detonated the bombs in a nearby wooded area.

At the meeting Thursday night, the builder said if residents wanted proof there were no bombs under their homes, he would dig up their lawns and prove it to them.
