Disney Announces MGM Studios Getting New Name, Logo For 2008

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Disney's MGM Studios is getting a new name and logo for 2008.

Thursday, Disney unveiled the changes for the theme park which will be known as Disney's Hollywood Studios as of January 7, 2008. The new logo gets rid of the familiar roaring lion and features Mickey Mouse holding a movie clap-board.

The company said Mickey should still play a prominent role in the company.
