Man Who Allegedly Set Girlfriend On Fire Could Get Death Penalty

ORANGE COUNTY, -- The State Attorney's Office has decided to seek the death penalty for an Orange County man it says set his 17-year-old girlfriend on fire.

Prosecutors said Dane Abdool murdered Amelia Sookdeo after she told him she was pregnant last year. A medical examiner found no evidence of a pregnancy.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for Thursday.

The trial is supposed to begin in February.
