Critical Report On Expressway Authority Remains Sealed

Wednesday, November 21, 2007

It'll probably be at least another month before the public can read an Orange County grand jury's critical report about the Expressway Authority.

Wednesday morning, attorneys for at least two people who want to keep their names out of the report made their arguments at a closed hearing. One of them was political consultant Doug Guetzloe's attorney. Another appeared by telephone.

The toll agency's former board president, Allan Keen, authorized paying Guetzloe more than $100,000 to research a possible toll hike without telling the other board members.

Orange County Chief Judge Belvin Perry said he'll have a ruling in a couple of weeks, but it'll stay sealed for at least another month if anyone appeals the judge's ruling.
