ORLANDO, Fla. -- A trap set by state wildlife officials Friday night failed to lure a black bear that has been roaming College Park for the past week.

Residents in the Orlando neighborhood have reported seeing the bear in the last several days and Channel 9 Eyewitness News was the only local station to show video of the animal.Florida Fish and Wildlife officers put out a trap hoping to lure the bear with doughnuts, but the trap was empty when checked Saturday morning.A spokesperson said that another trap would be set Saturday evening.Bears are most active at dusk and after dark and is the best time for wildlife officers to catch them.If caught, the bear would be taken to the Ocala National Forest and released.
