Red Tide Detected In Volusia County's Mosquito Lagoon

More red tide has been detected on Volusia County beaches. The highest concentrations are in Mosquito Lagoon, which is just south of New Smyrna Beach.

The toxic algae can cause fish kills and breathing problems for people.

Things aren't as bad in Brevard County. Samples there showed low to medium concentrations.
