Posted: 12:09 pm EST January 29, 2008Updated: 1:08 pm EST January 29, 2008

Two men blew it when they ran a stop sign Tuesday morning. They got the attention of Winter Garden police. Now investigators are trying to determine if the pair are responsible for an Orange County carjacking last Thursday

Winter Garden police tried to pull the men over around 9th Street. When the driver refused to stop, police said, they ran the plate and saw the vehicle was stolen. The driver took off, leading police on a chase onto the Florida Turnpike to I-4.

The suspects ditched the stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee around Conroy Road.

"The speed reached no more than 80MPH on the Turnpike and traffic was pretty light at that time," explained Lt. Bill Sullivan, Winter Garden Police Department.

Winter Garden police said, during the chase, they saw one of the suspects trying to change his clothes. Police didn't have any trouble tracking down either one of the suspects.
