27 Old Headstones Stolen From Marion County Cemetery

The Marion County Sheriff's Office wants to know who stole several headstones.

Twenty-seven headstones were taken from a cemetery, but they were recovered near some railroad tracks in Anthony.

Detectives are trying to figure out which cemetery the headstones were stolen from. The newest headstone recovered is from the early 1970s.

Removing headstones from a gravesite is a third-degree felony.
