There are nearly 12,000 people driving on a suspended license in Seminole County that deputies say are putting your safety at risk.

That's why five days a week Seminole County Sheriff's Office devotes a deputy to the courthouse parking lot to arrest people who show up to face a judge for a suspended license. Many of these people are so bold they then try to drive away from the courthouse on a suspended license.

Deputies arrest two to five people a day and say they get every excuse in the book.

"My girlfriend dropped me off, suppose to come pick me up. I've been waiting for hours," said Laura Nini, who was arrested.

Most judges even warn the offenders if they drive away from the courthouse they will get arrested. Deputies said the stops even lead to bigger arrest for drugs, weapons and outstanding warrants.
