Truck Dangles From Bridge After Crash On 408 On-Ramp

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Friday morning, a pickup truck traveling on the entrance ramp from SR-417 to the 408 lost control and ended up dangling over the concrete railing of the bridge.

The driver of the Ford F-150, 49-year-old James Wolfe of Orlando, was not injured, but the crash stopped traffic on SR-417 for more than an hour. Wolfe said another car cut him off while he was on the ramp and that is what caused him to lose control and crash.Traffic was backed up for more than three miles as commuters lined-up while rescue workers tried to secure the vehicle and remove it from the ramp. Several minor accidents were reported along the toll road during the traffic delays.Workers removed the truck and the ramp was back open around 6:45 Friday morning.
