Investigators said they found a jacket inside the restaurant on the corner of Orange Blossom Trail and Church Street. They believe the armed robber may have accidentally left it behind as he rushed to get out.Police said the bold armed robber walked into the Church's Chicken at the busy intersection, pointed a gun in the clerk's face and demanded money."I turned around and he pointed a gun at me," said Kiya Herring, a clerk at the store.Minutes later, the robber fired at least one shot when the employees weren't able to give him what he wanted."I couldn't get the register open and told him I needed a key. He said he didn't want to hear that and fired a shot at me," Herring said. The bullet ricocheted off the wall and grazed Herring's leg. By the time police arrived, the suspect had already left. There was no working surveillance camera in the restaurant, but investigators hope to get some trace of evidence from the jacket they think he left behind. The upset clerk and the manager said they just want him behind bars."I just hope they catch him, because it's possible he'll do it to many other places," Herring added.Investigators are banking on the jacket they found in the restaurant, because the clerks could only provide them with a very vague description of the suspect.
