Orlando Police Investigate Murder

Friday, March 21, 2008 – updated: 11:16 pm EDT March 21, 2008

Oscar Moradel, 40, was shot and killed Friday night. He was standing in his own home in the Pembroke Subdivision in the Lee Vista area.

Moradel’s brother said someone knocked on the door then shot Moradel about five times.

“It feels so sad because he was a good human being,” said a family friend.

Investigators did not release many details about the crime. They only said the crime was a home invasion and that the house and the victim were targeted.

Moradel’s brother said he tried to chase the suspect, but he jumped the fence and escaped. Moradel was married with two children.
