The threat said if the cop accused of the pushing isn't criminally charged, Orlando police would be shot at random. An Orlando police spokesperson said an intelligence bulletin has been issued and that the threat is being taken very seriously. The threat stems from an incident involving Officer Fernando Trinidad, who pushed a woman down the stairs at what was then Club Paris. The officer only received eight hours of suspension.Sources told Eyewitness News someone wrote an anonymous letter to the department and was angry about Trinidad's punishment. The person threatened to shoot and kill police officers unless his demands were met.The person also said the agency had until April 18 to file charges against the officer or else he plans to ambush random Orlando police officers just like the Beltway sniper incident in the Washington DC area. The agency does not know who sent in the letter. So far, no officers have been ambushed and the case is currently under investigation.
