Primate Expert Called Back From Africa To Help Capture Polk County Monkeys

POLK COUNTY, Fla. -- Fifteen escaped monkeys are still on the loose in Polk County Wednesday morning, even after an extensive search.The African patas monkeys escaped from a safari animal park in Lakeland last week. Even a state wildlife officer and private trappers have not been able to capture them.The Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa has now called its foremost primate expert back from Africa to help in the search.
