City May Be Willing To Settle Lawsuit With Topless Protestor

Posted: 12:56 pm EDT May 5, 2008

The city of Daytona Beach may be willing to settle a lawsuit with a topless protestor. City attorneys said they may offer Elizabeth Book $15,000 to withdraw her case.

Book was arrested last March when she appeared topless to protest the city's nudity ordinance.

While the city is willing to settle the lawsuit, they have no plans to change the city's laws.

To make the deal final, the city council would have to approve the payment.
