SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. -- A 34 year old woman was shot and critically wounded, Saturday morning. The Seminole County Sheriff's Office is now searching for a man witnesses saw flee shortly after the shooting. He is believed to be the victim's boyfriend.

According to a sheriff's spokesman, there was a 911 call from the Barrington at Mirror Lake Apartments around 10:20am, Saturday.

When deputies arrived they found that the woman had been shot in the head. A 13-year-old boy, who is believed to be the victim's son, was inside the apartment at the time of the shooting, but was not physically injured.

The victim was airlifted to Orando Regional Medical Center in critical conditon. Her name was not immediately released.

A man was seen leaving the apartment complex in a grey BMW 4-door sedan.

Investigators believe that man is the victim's boyfriend, 44-year-old Hector Castro.

Castro was believed headed toward the Apopka area in Orange County, and several Central Floirda police agencies were on the lookout for his car.
