POSTED: 5:24 am EDT May 13, 2008

At least three firefighters have been hurt so far fighting the wildfires in Brevard County.

One was transferred from an ambulance to a medical helicopter Monday. He was hurt when a power line fell on him and gave him a minor shock.

He was recovering Tuesday morning. There was no word on the conditions of the two other injured firefighters.

Officials said some of the firefighters' own homes were in jeopardy Monday night. They were given a break to check on them.
