Orlando Barber Shop Owner Shot During Daytime Robbery

ORLANDO, Fla. -- An armed robbery turned into a shooting at an Orlando barber shop Tuesday, sending the shop's owner to the hospital.Two masked men robbed an employee and a customer outside Perry's Barber Shop on Bruton Boulevard (see map). When the shop owner, Fred Perry, tried to lock his front door one of the armed robbers turned and shot him."He got distracted from me, turned the gun off me and pointed the gun on Fred and shot. That's when we all dispersed, started running," said robbery victim Michael Curtis.Eyewitnesses said the bullet pierced Perry's arm and lodged into his chest, but he's expected to be okay.The two robbers and a getaway driver took off in a green Ford Explorer.
