It's at the point in the pre-trial process when prosecutors and defense attorneys have to exchange evidence and it becomes public. That's how the new video ended up being released Friday. It documents the beginning of the brutal taped attack."You want to talk on the phone, you want to talk on the computer, so now's the time to talk to my face," one girl yelled at 17-year-old Victoria Lindsay."And I'm telling you right now, I was drunk and I was stupid and I've grown up since then," Lindsay said. The brutal beating ultimately started as a screaming match, a video released Friday revealed, juvenile insults by girls bent on capturing their crime on camera. Dissatisfied with simple insults, one of the girls, a high school cheerleader, turned to the first blow of a long disturbing attack."Your own family don't even want you in the house," the girl screamed at Lindsay in the video."Name a guy f*****," Lindsay replied before be punched in the face and jumped on by the girl."Quit! Quit! Quit!" she screams as she is repeatedly punched. Also released Friday were images of Lindsay with two black eyes and bruised arms and legs.Eight teens were arrested, six girls who allegedly participated in the beating and two boys who allegedly guarded the doors of the house. The house where the beating happened has the windows blacked out with foil. Those not covered were quickly curtained when Eyewitness News showed up. At one point a friend of the youngest suspect showed up to try to make the news crew leave."Nobody's going to talk to you. I have to ask you to leave," the man said. The man then hurried accused attacker Mercedes Nichols to a car and drove her away. The victim's family has said it was an elaborate plot to injure and embarrass Lindsay. Lindsay's parents couldn't believe their daughter had to endure the attack."That's my Tori. Don't do that to my Tori," said the victim's mother.Lindsay, who was 16 years old at the time, suffered a concussion, eye injuries and several bruises. The sheriff said Lindsay was lured into the home for the sole purpose of capturing and posting the video on the Internet. According to the sheriff's office arrest affidavit, Lindsay told deputies they "were going to post the beating on MySpace and YouTube."All of the teens are charged with kidnapping and battery. They all bonded out last month, but one of the boys involved has been re-arrested and jailed for driving with a suspended license.Lindsay is still recovering from a concussion and damage to her left eye and ear and is now being home-schooled.
