LESSBURG, Fla. -- A wealthy business owner was arrested in Leesburg for allegedly trying to run someone down with his airplane. An employee of Sunair Aviation at the Leesburg Regional Airport told police he was in a golf cart driving on the taxiway when real estate mogul Neil Fischer charged him with his plane going 15 to 20 miles an hour.Keith Franklin swerved, but said the plane came within five feet of him. He said he had been on his way to pick up a student pilot when he first passed behind Fischer's plane, but several people reportedly witnessed the plane make a series of right turns, putting it right back where it started, only this time behind Franklin's golf cart and travelling directly for it.In a police report, Franklin called the move reckless and extremely inappropriate. Police seem to agree, charging Fischer with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of stalking. He turned himself in and bonded out.Fischer works with several different businesses, including Neil Fischer Realty, which has four offices in Lake County. Eyewitness News tried to speak to Fischer at his main office, but the line was disconnected after a reporter identified herself. The second time around, she said he was in his office but not available to talk. The owner of Sunair Aviation, Brian Sapp, also hung up when Eyewitness News called. The two apparently have had a long running feud over a business deal that fell apart.
